Product Description
Bamana Male Ancestral Figure – Mali
This simplistic carved figure originates from the Bamana peoples of Mali, the Seno River where the Dogon mixed with the Bamana and possibly Mossi population. Sculptures of this style are distinguished by the angular stylization of the body and semicircular ears. While the architecture of the legs relates closely to figures which are known to originate with the Bamana, the faces incorporate classic Dogon morphology.
Made of 100% wood.
Model is W 42 – H 8 and weight 0.5 kg.
